Reversible inhibition
The reversible binding of the inhibitor to the enzyme by a non-covalent bond causes a decrease or loss of the enzyme activity, and the effect of recovering the enzyme activity can be recovered by physically removing the inhibitor.

Irreversible inhibition
The inhibitor and the essential group or active site of the enzyme are covalently bonded to cause loss of enzyme activity, and the physical activity such as dialysis, ultrafiltration or gel filtration cannot be used to remove the inhibitor to restore the enzyme activity.
