Chlorophyll: is one of the most important pigments associated with photosynthesis. Photosynthesis is the process of converting light energy into chemical energy by synthesizing some organic compounds. Chlorophyll is actually found in all organisms that can create photosynthesis, including green plants, prokaryotic blue-green algae (blue fungus) and eukaryotic algae. Chlorophyll absorbs energy from light, which is then used to convert carbon dioxide into carbohydrates.
