Potassium hypochlorite, (KClO) inorganic compound, strong oxidant, white powder, has a strong chlorine odor. The solution is a yellow-green translucent liquid. It is extremely unstable in the air and decomposes itself quickly after being heated. Very soluble in cold water, decomposes in case of hot water. Mainly used as oxidant, bleach, disinfectant, fungicide.
