He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Vienna in 1932 and a Doctorate in 1934. He then focused on motivational research and tried to use behavioral science in economics, management, and advertising. He moved to the United States in 1938 to work as a psychologist for an advertising agency. During World War II, he was a communications expert for CBS. In 1946, he founded Ernest Dichter Motives in New York, which had offices in Paris, Tokyo, Frankfurt, Zurich and New York. Dichter is divided into descriptive and explanatory studies, and his company specializes in answering questions that cannot be answered directly and require special techniques such as in-depth interviews, psychological dramas, and projection tests.To this end, the company mediated a number of special technologies.
