The dragons were at the top of the food chain in the late Cretaceous period, when various dinosaurs in North America were largely targeted, and sometimes attacked long-necked herbivorous dinosaurs like the Alamo dragon. The swollen dragon is generally not in the recipe for the dragon because of its small size. A dragon is rarely preyed upon by a king dragon. Other carnivorous dinosaurs that were distributed in North America at the time, such as the Dwarf Tyrannosaurus rex, may have had some competition with the Dragon, but were far from the rival of the Dragon.
