Lipman has a deep knowledge of physics and a wide range of research, especially in electrical, thermal, optical and optoelectronics, and was recognized as an authority by the European scientific community at the time. One day, while entertaining celebrities in the scientific community, he unreservedly dedicated his invention of capillary potential meters to the French Physical Society.
