The Ionic column (Greek: Ιωνικός ρυθμός) originated in ancient Greece and is one of the three column types of Greek classical architecture (the other two are Doric column and Corinthian column) is characterized by a relatively slender and beautiful, also known as female column, the column body has 24 grooves, and the column head has a pair of downward scroll decoration. Due to its elegant and noble temperament, the Ionic Column appeared widely in a large number of ancient Greek buildings, such as the Temple of the Goddess of Victory in the Acropolis and the Temple of Orechtheon.
The Ionian column originated in the Ionian, southwest coast and island of Asia Minor in the mid-6th century BC, inhabited by Ionians who spoke the Ionian dialect. The Ionic column was introduced to mainland Greece in the 5th century BC. The first Ionic-style Grand Temple, built between 570 and 560 BC in The Temple of Hera in Samos, existed only 10 years before it was destroyed by an earthquake, and was architected by Roykos. Here, the Ionic Column is used to decorate the greatest goddess: there is no other more prominent place that allows it to show itself in such a short period of time. The Temple of Artemis in Ephesus is the temple of Ioni, which has existed for 6 centuries and is one of the Seven Wonders of the World.
Unlike the Greek Doric column, the Ionic column is usually erected on a pedestal, separating the column from the column foot or platform of the building. The stigma of the Ionic column consists of a pair of iconic swirling ornaments placed on a molded column cap or blooming from the inside. Column caps are usually accompanied by eggs and markers, a decorative line with an alternating ellipse and arrows. Initially the swirling decorations were located on the same plane, and later in the corners they were arranged to protrude at an angle. This feature of the Ionic column makes it more versatile than the Doric column in the critical eyes of the 4th century BC, and twisting it in the corners makes them the same width regardless of whether viewed from the front or side. The 16th-century Renaissance architect and theologian Carmeschi designed a version of this perfectly arranged four-sided Ionian stigma that was so successful that it became the standard of the time, and when the Greek Ionian column was reintroduced in the 18th-century Greek Revival style, it was rediscovered as so primitive and primitive...
Under the paisley decoration, the Ionic columns can have a wide collar or belt to separate the stigma from the body of the column carved with grooves, or by a weeping ornament of flowers and fruits from the gaps in the paisley, or from their "eyes". After some early attempts, the number of grooves in the column body was fixed at 24. This standardization maintains the proportion of the groove to the diameter to a similar degree, even if the height of the column is extended. The Romans left some column surfaces between the grooves, while the Greeks used them up and left only the knife edges for carving.

Ionic columns are always thinner than Doric columns: Ioni columns are 8 or 9 diameters taller, and even higher in improved formats in the United States. They are usually engraved with grooves.

Column of ions
The ion exchange column refers to the columnar pressure vessel used for ion exchange reactions, which is a exchange equipment for ion exchange by the tube-column method. A cylindrical exchange column is used, and the solution is passed through from one end of the column, and the fixed ion exchange resin layer or the flow state of the column is in full contact with the fixed ion exchange resin layer or the flow state in the column for ion exchange. If the exchanged solution has reached the predetermined requirements, or the ion exchange resin has been "saturated", the column exchange is cut off from the production line, desorbed with desorption solution in the same column or in other columns, and the ion exchange resin is regenerated for the next exchange. The use of an ion exchange column is equivalent to exchanging the ion exchange resin in the column with the solution in multiple batches, and the exchanged solution is separated from the ion exchange resin in time. The composition of the solution flowing through the ion exchange resin bed varies with time and bed height. This method is highly efficient and widely used in production...
